Shiloh Posted December 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2005 I put a table top tree in our dining room that I decorated with ornaments we got in Hawaii, plus a plane (overcame my fear of flying to go), a cruise ship (doesn't look like the Pride of Aloha but it will do!) and tropical ornaments I back home. I used the shell leis we got from Hilo Hatties and the luau as garland and it looks so cute! Just thought I'd share!
Love2cruisegirl Posted February 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2006 Shiloh- This year, I had enough ornaments to start our 'World Travels' tree. Between the trips that my DH & I have taken (cruising & other), plus the little 'goodies' that family & friends have brought back from their travels, it practically filled up a 7 ft. live tree. Most every ornament brings about some special memory (even the ones from places we didn't go...like Alaska. We kept my parent's dog for that trip which brings about memories in itself!) My parents love to travel as much as we do & the ornaments from them will one day be passed along to my kids...a special treasure indeed!
a forever cruiser Posted November 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2006 We call our Christmas tree a memory tree since it has all the ornaments from all our travels. As we put up the ornaments it's nice to talk about all our trips.
