RCI has found a way

Recommended Posts

to get passangers off the ship earlier.

I just returned from the 11/27 sailing on the Rhapsody out of Galveston

The customs is now in the terminal. We got off the ship at about 8. We were on deck 8, pink luggage tags. Then we stood in the hallway of the terminal for 20 minutes because the lines at customs were so long. They finally let us in to find our luggage and found out you have to stand in another line to get a porter. When the porter has loaded your luggage you get into the customs line, which by this time curls around the terminal, back to the hall way where we came in. The porters hate it because they spend all of their time standing in line and it was slow.

Luckly our porter found a way to sneak us into the non-citizen line (which was deserted) and get us out faster. We were still standing in varous lines for over an hour. I tipped him double.

Who ever came up with this new routine is an idiot. The only thing I can figure is that it gets passangers off sooner so they can clean the rooms.
