bunchesofun Posted November 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2017 I had heard on the boards that Carnival used the lifeboats for tendering on Princess Cay. In dealing with special needs, the information they sent me indicated that there were accessible tenders used there. I emailed back and asked them about it and this is their reply: Princess Cay has accessible tenders. Debarking on all tenders are based on weather, sea, swell, current and/or tide conditions may prove difficult for a safe transfer to take place. In each case, it will be the decision of the ship officials to determine, based on their evaluation of safety issues for our guests and crew, whether or not a guest using a wheelchair may board a tender. Facilities in ports of call vary significantly; wheelchair accessibility may not be available for shore tours or in certain ports of call. Carnival is not responsible for accessibility in its ports of call, which are not under Carnival’s control. Tender Ports: • Belize • Cabo San Lucas, Mexico • Catalina Island, CA* • Grand Cayman (subject to tender availability) • Half Moon Cay, Bahamas* • Kona, HI • Princess Cay, Bahamas* Accessible tender boats available* Guest Access Support Carnival Cruise Line
SadieN Posted November 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 14, 2017 Carnival uses Catalina Ferries as tenders for Catalina Island, CA. Roll on and off. These even have bathrooms! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
