I am going on the Jewel on Jan 8th. I have a few..hopefully easy, questions.

1) What time does boarding start?

2)How many formal nights are there?

3) Does anyone have pictures or info about the dining room dinner menus? (we want to try to special restaurant)

4) What drinks are "free" in the Windjammer?

5) how much is a soda card and can an adult get one?

Sorry for so many questions!

I appreciate your help!

Hi Keggy - Boarding will depend on what time the ship docks from the previous cruise and what time you sail.

Number of formal nights depends on the length of your cruise. From the RCI website: 3 to 4 - night cruises include one formal night and the remainder nights are casual.

5 - night cruises include one formal and the remainder nights casual.

6 - night cruises include two formal nights, one smart casual and the remainder nights casual. 7 to 9 - night cruises include two formal nights, one smart casual night and the remainder nights casual.

10 to 13-night cruises include two formal nights, two smart casual nights, and the remainder nights casual.

14+ - night cruises include three formal nights, four smart casual nights and the remainder nights casual.

Soda cards are available to adults. Also from the RCI web site: ADULT FOUNTAIN SODA/JUICE PACKAGE

This package entitles guests 18 years of age and older to unlimited consumption of fountain sodas (no cans) and juices at all bars and lounges, Windjammer, Dining Room and Private Destinations (CocoCay and Labadee). This package is available for purchase on the day of embarkation at all bars and lounges and may be charged to your SeaPass account. After this package has been purchased, a sticker will be placed on your boarding card allowing you to consume fountain sodas (no cans) and juices throughout your cruise. A complimentary Coca Cola souvenir cup is included as part of the package.

Juices that are included in this package are orange juice, grapefruit juice, pineapple juice and cranberry juice. Juices are complimentary for all guests during breakfast.

The cost of the package is $6.00 per person, per day, and is applicable to the total days of the cruise vacation. A 15% gratuity charge will be added.

Please note: The fountain soda / juice package is only available for the total amount of days of the cruise and prices are subject to change without notice.

In the Windjammer iced tea, lemonade, and water are free.
