Is it too hot to do the Canop Tour in PV in August?

Palomino,

Not sure about August, but we did the Canopy Tour last September and had a blast! It was humid, but very tolerable. It did rain a bit almost daily, but the rain was warm, and never a problem. Generally it was a very light rain that lasted just a short time and the sun returned. There was a severe thunder and lightening storm one night. As for bugs, I don't know what they do in PV, but we did not see a mosquito or really any kind of insect the whole week we were there! Even in the jungle canopy, the only thing we saw was a couple spiders pointed out to us by our guide. Makes me wonder what kind of insecticide they are using in that city!! Our guides recommended we apply repellent, which we did, but I don't know that it was even necessary.

Hola from PV! It is going to be HOT no matter WHAT you do here in August! The Canopy Tour is fine because even if it rains, not a problem. The plus side is everything is extremely lush and green with loads of orchids. Go for it!
