Current Condition of Independence

Recommended Posts

We were on her in November. Port side had coffee, snacks, breakfast items, and the desk for the Diamond host. There was also the access door to the patio with chairs and tables. The starboard side had the coffee maker, cookies and fruit throughout the day, but the sliding door to the outside was sealed off . Both sides served cocktails with the starboard side having a portable walk up bar at the rear. We were on her for the transatlantic and the entire deck was used for the C@A event each night. One oddity was anyone walking up to the main bar was asked to show their key card, no one sitting anywhere was ever asked to show anything. There were 1400 plus Diamond and above which made things fill up quickly, sometimes the whole deck was full at 4:30 with people waiting to be served at 5:00. Diamonds had free cocktails in MDR for first seating and for MTD up until 8:30.

We will be on the Independence Transatlantic this fall. Since there were so many Diamonds and above on the ship, did they "load" 3 drinks onto the keycards so one could get drinks at bars during the evening cocktail C&A hours?
