First time upgrade offer!!

We were so excited to receive our first upgrade offer this morning! We were hoping it was for next months cruise with just The husband and myself. Turned out to be for our cruise next January with all four kids. We have connecting rooms now on deck six and they offered to upgrade us to one room on deck 9 and one room on deck 11?????? We obviously passed on the offers. I did call carnival and was able to take advantage of their current promotion though. We paid $40 per room to move from deck six to deck 8 but we also received $50 per room onboard credit. We were happy with that!
