Athens airport to city center

Sounds like there is always lots of taxis waiting at the airport.

Are mini van taxis common to be waiting?

 

Or if we require something abit larger than a sedan we should book a private transfer?

We were concerned about the same thing, so I just arranged for private car with Welcome Pickups (after reading many positive reviews). Costs 76 Euro, includes gratuity,and the driver will meet us in the Arrivals area of the airport. Gonna be too jet-lagged to worry about taxis, etc. Oh, and paid with credit card---I read that many taxis do not accept them.
