carnival liberty and immigation???

Question.... Liberty's 8 day sailing that goes from San Juan (Monday:5pm-12am) then directly to St. Thomas (Tuesday: 7am-6pm) do you have to go through the immigation process twice in a row?? I wasn't sure how that would work since you would just be doing it before you got off the boat in San Juan, then would they have you go through the line showing your passport again next morning before you get off for St. Thomas?? Has anyone run across this? Thanks

So... you mean, after we get on the boat for the 1st time, we won't have to go through any lines before a port to show them our passport? We can just use our sign and sail cards to get on and off?

The reason you don't have to go through immigration is because Puerto Rico and St. Thomas are both U.S. territories. Since the Liberty doesn't visit any foreign port before visiting either of these U.S. ports, no need for immigration. That's one of the HUGE benefit to the Liberty's Eastern itinerary! I'm looking forward to benefiting from it next week!
