Anyone done this tour lately? We are on HAL's Volendam and they offer the excursion for $59 per person. Read that someone did this in 2004 from the beach - not the cruise ship. Anyone have a name of the company or any comments - good or bad of the tour?

Last year when we were there, we did something similar it was the thriller. It was so much fun, but it only last 1 hour.

Yep, I think this was only one hour too. Was it really rough and bumpy? I'm not sure how I will feel if its rough. Normally I have no problems with sea sickness but this is a new thing for me. Did you book through the ship or from someone on the beach?

I booked the thriller trip on the beach. they are no longer in aruba.

it wasnt too bumpy.

but if I only had one day this one hour trip is not what I would recommend.

My first choice would be snorkeling on the Jolly Pirates and second choice would be the ABC jeep tour. 3rd choice horsebackriding by the natural pool. Why spend 50 bucks for 1 hour, when you could be on a sailboat all day for the same $ doing snorkeling with cocktails and lunch.

 

Also, if you like to golf, check out Tierra Del Sol Golf Course or the one at the Divi.

My husband and I are thinking about doing it also, you can make reservations through the site ahead of time.

Arubaluvr, did you find the pirate ship to be a "party boat". I have read the reviews and many say its family oriented and others mention lots of drinking.
