swedish girl Posted August 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2018 I’m booked on a 16 days Norwegian Cruise and have been surprised and disappointed with what I’ve seen! Apparently no free room service, 20% extra gratuity on each beverage, even nonalcoholic, and can’t bring water or soft drinks on board. I have to take a lot of medicine and wonder if there is anyplace on this ship I can get free soft drinks or water all day? I usually cruise celebrity or princess and will return to them after this trip! Thx four your help
fishywood Posted August 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2018 No cruise line other than luxury or all inclusive ones will have free soft drinks. And the trend of no free room service other than continental breakfast is inevitably becoming the norm among mainstream lines: Royal Caribbean (sister line to Celebrity) and MSC are the same. There are water dispensers (along with iced tea and possibly other flavored drinks) in the buffet. You can also bring a few refillable water bottles to keep in your cabin fridge. Tap water from the sink is as equally drinkable as the water in dining venues.
tamster34 Posted August 19, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2018 You can get ice water from any bar & , when there are servers going around asking for drink orders (pool, theater), they will bring you ice water too.
