Majesty of the Seas Suites?

Wife and I are looking at the Aug 28 sailing on Majesty to Cuba. We'll be brining another couple who have never cruised before and are trying to decide on the best room on this ship, on this itinerary. 

 

Since there are no balconies we are looking at a jr suite or perhaps even the grand suite. My concern is, as this is RC's oldest ship there don't seem to be many suite perks, is going up the the GS worth the $500 premium over a JS?

 

Insides and oceanview are also being considered for the value, as we're traveling with friends we plan to spend time outside the room hanging out with them.

 

Those who have sailed on Majesty recently and or frequently, what say you?

The GS would still get to take advantage of the 3.5 hour free drink period in the Viking Crown area each evening.  The GS would also get free room service which includes MDR offerings whenever the MDR is open.
