Driving Directions From La To Galveston Thru Winnie

Can anyone give me directions for the above mentioned. We'll be on I-10 but would like to go thru Winnie, Texas and ride the ferry to Galveston. I'm not too sure about the exits.

I believe it is exit 829. It is Hwy 124 south that you are looking for. You will take Hwy 124 until you come to the beach. You will then bear to the right on Hwy 87. This will take you all the way to the ferry. We will be making this trip on Sunday.
