Water Taxi?

hi,

 

how much is the water taxi to the caye, and where do you get it, and is its timing reliable? we dont know what to do after our excursion,,,never been thrilled by the "shopping village" there,,,,

I'm not sure which Caye you are talking about or how long your excursion is, but....if you are talking Caye Caulker, it is a 45 minute water taxi ride EACH WAY. We did that only, we just missed the early taxi and had to wait 45-60 minutes for the next, and as a result we had only a little time at Caye Caulker. Keep in mind there is a time difference. Also, since this is a tender port, the last tender back to the ship is at least 30 minutes prior to sailaway, might even be an hour. The taxis kept a very accurate schedule. HTH!

OK...it sounds like there is alot to worry about with the water taxi schedule and time change and the ship schedule...cant you just get a buch of people and hire a boat?
