Favorite Things to do in Athens

Hi, I was just wondering what are some of the favorite things to do in Athens, other than site see? Anyone have a favorite restaurant, store or a must have souvenir? Any information would help! Thanks:)

I spent 5 days in Athens last year,and we saw it all,but the part I liked the best was the Plaka area..off the main streets,just wandering,looking in the shops and stopping for iced coffee anytime I felt the need,talking to the locals,and walking to some of the lesser known area on the back of the Acropolis.I kept going back there after doing the ususal sightseeing just to relax.If you want a nice meal try Daphne's,and for an outdoor cafe There is one right up the street (whose name I have forgotten and can't find th card right now),but the tables are on both sides of the street by the park,and it sits at the end of some shops...food is wonderful.If I find the name I will post.If you are just there for the day do go and have an iced coffee!!! Do get an "eye" in one of the shops as they are made there not Turkey as most think.

Two favourite things:

 

1) Eat a gyro from a window-front fast-gyro place near the Monastiraki station

 

2) Buy gold a Byzantino

We stayed at the Marriott Ledra and our favorite thing was going to the roof top swiming pool and enjoying the view of the Accropolis while relaxing and having a drink.
