loubct Posted February 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2006 I can't seem to remember if you are allowed to bring with you a carry on luggage directly to the ship after checking in. I know that the porter normally takes your luggage and brings it to the RCCL check in spot (San Juan). I just can't remember if I can wheel my carry on with me to thru check in process. I want to be able to stop at the duty free store at the Pan American pier and pick up some items and pack them in the luggage and bring aboard with me . Dockman123 Posted February 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2006 We have taken our carry on with us. You just have to keep it with you until your room is ready.
Onessa Posted February 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2006 You can bring on items or carry-ons. The items must fit through the security scanners (generally like the ones in airports) so full-size suitcases are probably 'out' but a carry-on size will work. Many folks 'carryon' cases of soda or bottled water. Check with the cruiseline as to any restrictions as to what you may carryon. RCCI does not allow liquor. Some ports/lines do not allow opened food packages, prepared food, fresh fruit, or other things.
