How do you get to Rum Point? How much $$?

Taxi fares would be prohibitive. Taxis do NOT queue up at Rum Point, so the return trip needs to be planned for before you come out!

Busses do not go as far as Rum Point... closest stop is about 4 miles away. One way fare to this point from G'town is US$5 per person. Sometimes you can coax a bus driver into driving the extra distance for additional fare, figure another US$2 per person or so. Still you MUST coordinate how you will get back to your ship as busses are infrequent (hourly or so?) and won't automatically come out to Rum Point.

Better? Depends on what is important to you!? Rum Point is a much smaller beach. It has many more trees and much more shade than Seven Mile Beach. Seven Mile Beach has a greater variety of nearby shopping and restaurants... Rum Point has one gift shop and a bar w/ grill.
