If you are going to use cash and don't want to give them a credit card do you put down a cash deposit and if so how much. We will have four people in our cabin, I don't know if this makes any difference?

Yes you can put down a cash deposit, at least you used to be able to. If you're worried about credit card charges, you can always use your credit card to secure credit on your SeaPass account, and then while you're on board you can always pay down your account with cash.

Yes you can put cash down on your seapass account. Just go to the pursers desk when you get on the ship. They didn't tell us that we had to put on a certain amount. We put $600 for the two of us. We just used travelers checks. They sent a paper to our cabin saying that if we went $500 over what we had put down that they would deactivate our seapass. I was really surprised that they would let you go over by any amount. The last night we went to the pursers desk and got cash back for what we didn't use. HTH
