zounds Posted September 13, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2021 We are sailing Oct. 9 (7 Nights) and are lining up our antigen tests 2 days prior. Can someone please tell me if we are required to then have a negative test to return to the US ? Would it be done on the ship ? We are both vaxxed and our ports are Ocean Cay, Costa Maya and Cozumel . Thanks very much.
Native Floridian 26 Posted September 13, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2021 (edited) US cruise ship pax do not need a covid test coming back into US. Per CDC website: After you disembark: Get tested 3–5 days after your trip. If your test is positive, isolate yourself to protect others from getting infected. Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms for 14 days after travel; isolate and get tested if you develop symptoms, regardless of vaccination status. If you are not fully vaccinated: Stay home and self-quarantine for 7 days after cruise travel, even if you test negative. If you do not get tested, stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after cruise travel. Avoid being around people who are at increased risk for severe illness for 14 days, whether you get tested or not. The entry testing requirement only applies to air travel. Does not apply to land borders or ships.
