Cruise Alaska with knee scooter

Hello -

Can anyone describe their experience using a knee scooter for airport travel and an Alaskan cruise?  We are booked on Nieuw Amsterdam for mid-June, current planned excursions include Skagway Railroad, Glacier Discovery Helicopter tour; Juneau Mendenhall Glacier tour, Ketchikan currently nothing scheduled.  

Hoping I don't need it but just in case, want to keep my expectations realistic.

Can you go up and down stairs? If not forget the helo, and likely glacier tour and have to jump through some hoops for the railroad. Maybe do the crab boat tour in Ketch. Most tours have youtube videos on them. Skip the ad ones and watch individuals produced ones. Newer the better. That will give you a good idea of what is involved with moving around. Tender ports will also be an issue. sightcrr
