Bar tab bonus - uk sailors

I’m trying to purchase bar tabs, using money from my British bank account. I was able to do this for the first cruise in my b2b2b, but the second and third legs don’t show up in my dashboard, which appears to be the only way to buy a bar tab. The iOS app doesn’t allow purchasers. My first mate (aka TA!) has been able to add it to my account, but instead of the £230 the app states, the charge is US$300 (much more than £230), automatically converted to over AU$440. Do UK purchasers get charged £230, or US$300?

The iOS app takes me to the web page, which doesn’t allow me to purchase anything.

Yes, I seem to recall that the webpage was brought up, we use IOS as well.

 

I just looked using the website on my Mac.

When you get onto your account, in the Bar Tab section it says:

 

LIMITED TIME $100 BAR TAB BONUS

Bar Tab

Purchase a £230 prepaid bar tab and for a limited time we'll top you off with an extra $100 to spend on specialty drinks during your voyage.

VIEW DETAILS

 

When I click on the "VIEW DETAILS" it opens up a side bar to "buy" the bar tab.

It definitely is offered (and charged) at £230.

 

Not sure if that helps.

For me, the side bar only opens on for the voyage in the dashboard. There is no way to do this for the “upcoming” voyages.

We dont have another voyage booked (yet!!), so I can't do the comparison, sorry.

Sounds like a call or email to Sailor Services to resolve?

I was able to get my base currency changed, with difficultly, over the phone. Was charged £245 vs £230 for $300 + $100, so the exchange is now in your favour.

Currently shows as £235 for me.

 

but can only buy online for the next voyage. If you want to purchase for future ones you’ll need to call.
