Best excursion on Nassau for pirate history?

Hello everyone, my family will be taking our first cruise in April. One of our stops is Nassau. My 9 year old LOVES pirates and pirate history and is really excited to see Nassau for that reason. Can anyone recommend a tour or excursion where they teach you the history and point out important places related to the pirate history of the island? Thanks in advance!

You could go up to Fort Fincastle on your own and see how it overlooks the cruiseships docked.

 

Otherwise, the Pirate Museum on Bay Street should be a great stop.

Another vote for the Pirate Museum.  I was very surprised about how interesting it was!

I want to visit the Pirate Museum when we are in Nassau in December. Is an hour or two enough time to see everything there?

We really enjoyed the Pirate Museum. It was a lot of fun. I bet your son would love it.

My kids loved the pirate museum!   We walked there from the port.   Then walked around town. It was great.
