Disembark before final port of call?

I booked 14-day HAL Auckland - Sydney cruise https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/find-a-cruise/P3H14B/N316.html

Its last ports of call are: March 9 Melborne 8:00-18:30; March 10 At Sea; March 11 Sydney 7:00.

Since I need more time in Melborne, I am thinking to disembark the ship on March 9 in Melborne.

What arrangement do I need to make in order to leave the ship before its final destination?

You may need to contact HAL and get permission to disembark early and in case the customs don’t join the ship last port in NZ you would need to see them in Melbourne but you wouldn’t get a reduction in the cruise fare
