W. Carrib. weather and sea conditions?

Would anyone be able to tell me what the sea and weather conditions are usually like in March.?

We are traveling next Sunday and have read the weather report just about everyday for Cozumel is cloudy with scattered showers. I've read this same report for nearly an entire month. Is this the usual weather?

What about sea conditions? Are they usually smooth? rough?

Just getting excited and a little anxious. We're taking my mom, stepdad, and 2 daughters and have talked up cruising soooo much. Just hope the weather is good to us! :p
