Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort Casino - Rio Grande - Humacao

Hi Everyone,

 

We booked Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort Casino for 2 days before our Princess Crown Cruise in San Juan for Jan 13th sailing on Priceline. Just wondering if anyone has stayed here, and can post some comments on this resort. I have read many reviews which most are good, but there is mixed postings. Just wondering how long it takes to drive from resort to the port? I think I have read somewhere about 19 miles, but with the roads and driving there wondering about a time frame? Also we have never been to Puerto Rico before and wondering would you recommend renting a car for 2 days, or just take taxi's?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated! If anyone has any pictures of their stay here, would love to see them!

We were at this resort for a conference. The beach is beautiful and the resort is quite nice but not as spiffy as the Westin Resorts mainland US.

There was a marathon near the airport and the resulting traffic made it a 2 hour trip to the resort. In good traffic, it is 45 minutes to an hour.
