Just Back from the Glory

Recommended Posts

We had a great time! The boat is beautiful. The staff is great. We got to the port around 10:45 on Saturday. Checked in....I don't know what the big deal is about Fast Pass, because it wasn't any faster. We were allowed to board at about 11:45, and were eating lunch at 12:15. Easiest and earliest that has ever happened. Disembarkation was not as easy though.

Our luggage tag was not called until about 10:00, and by the time we waited in line and then got our luggage and loaded it in the car it was 11:30. They would only let 10 people at a time go down the escalator to baggage claim...they would wait a few minutes and send 10 more...then, all of our luggage was not together, so we waited about 25 minutes or so for it all to come around the turnstyle...I think it came around about 3 or 4 times before all of our luggage was on it.

That is pretty much my only negative.

I was a little concerned going in about the motion of the boat the first couple of days, from what people had posted, but they were our calmest days.

The only time I took anything was the day we went to St. Thomas and we did the Godfrey tour, and I knew that we would be doing some driving.

I didn't really care for Nassau, except for Atlantis...it was beautiful. We just walked around there, played in the casino for a few, and looked at the aquarium. There is a part of the aquarium that you can look at for free, that did the trick for me.

St. Thomas we did the Godfrey tour with Timmy, and went to Sapphire Beach...It was lovely. Enjoyed the tour of St. Thomas...Timmy was a little scary though. He needs a little lesson in shifting gears...But, we had a great time. Well worth the price of the tour.

St. Martin, we just took the water taxi over and shopped. The water was beautiful the day we were there.

This was our first time with a balcony, and loved it.

Mark Price was the cruise director, he was great. Always had us laughing.

And, Renaldo....what a hoot...my kids new favorite saying is kissy kissy.

Oh, and the chocolate buffet at lunch was great....

I couldn't eat anything, but the sugar free stuff, but it was still great.

Also, they do have a sugar free dessert each night in the dining room, and also at lunch in the Red Sail. I also can't have salad, so they brought me a fruit salad each night instead of salad.

I would be glad to answer any questions that you might have.

Kyla

Kyla!!! I must have been on the Timmy tour with you! What time did he pick you up? We went at 10:30 am. Loved my banana daquiri! We also went to Sapphire Beach and had a BLAST! I loved the Glory and can't wait to cruise again! Bet I saw you. My scanner is down or I'd post a pic. I am mid-30's, tall (6'), thin and long blonde hair. Did you see me? LOL. Love, Juliah

Hey Juliah,

That's the one we were on. I sat in the front row on the left. It was my husband, 2 daughters, my oldest daughters boyfriend, his sister and parents...we took up the first 2 rows.

I think I would have like Godfrey better, but it was fun.

I was getting a little nervous at the top of the hill though when he wouldn't move.

Wow Kyla! Small world! We were just 2 rows behind you icon_smile.gif I bet we crossed paths many times on the ship! Yeah, we also got nervous at the top of the hill...LOL. There were 6 of us...me, husband, 5-year-old son, my mom, brother, 10 year old niece and 12 year old nephew.

I also LOVED Renaldo. I did the dance class with him (along with my son and nieces) and we had a BLAST!

Juliah, did you go to the horse race on Friday? My oldest daughter was horse #5...the one that they had to draw everything on. My husband added the lipstick. It was pretty funny.
