NCL app questions (reservation)

We are a family of 3 staying in the same cabin and will mostly be traveling together. Is there a need for more than one person to use the NCL app for reservations? Or can one person make reservations (including excursions) for everyone in the group using one app account?

When shopping for excursions, some items say 0.00 under some guests, eg person1 c$117, person2 c$0.00, person3 c$0.00 (c$ = Canadian dollars). Does this mean there is no charge for the 2nd and 3rd guests if I book this excursion, or does it mean others have to book for themselves separately? Thanks

I ran into this on the app recently, too, and I think it means that the excursion has only one spot left open. If I tried to book it for both my spouse and myself, it would say I couldn't, but when I tried to book it for either of us, it would go into my cart, at the full price.
