Question Regarding Newark Airport To Cape Liberty Pier

Hi:

 

I am sure that this question has been asked before but I briefly checked the Celebrity boards and did not find this topic.

 

Can anyone tell me how far it is from the Newark airport (Liberty International) to the pier at Cape Liberty (Bayonne, NJ)?

 

What is the best way to get there? Is a taxi OK? About how much should it cost?

yup... the question's been asked... but... I've no problem answering again :)

 

 

The airport is literally about 10 miles away...if that... and it's about a 15 minute cab ride from exit 14 on the turnpike to exit 14A (that's right... one exit).

 

Taking a cab should be fine... and should cost between $20 and $30

I have a similar question. We are coming in a day ahead of the cruise and staying at the marriott courtyard near Newark Airport. Anyone know how far this is from the pier and what the cost might be?

The Courtyard is very close to the airport... and effectively neither adds or subtracts time to the pier...

Hi Islandermg, I was just wondering when your cruise is/was? If you've already been, how was your stay at Marriott Courtyard? Was it convenient and what did your transfer cost to get to the pier?

 

Our cruise will leave Cape Liberty on November 3rd and I am trying to decide where to stay as we are arriving a day early.

 

I appreciate any input you can give.

Hi,

 

My sister and I recently stayed at that Courtyard after our transatlantic on the Connie. It is very close to the airport, and they have a free shuttle, but it only picks up and drops off at one terminal - B, I think. The hotel was quite nice, with a little restaurant and bar in the lobby area.

 

We went right from the airport to the port on the way out, and it was about a 15 minute ride, and cost a flat rate of $35.00.
