Star Pictures From Cruise Ship?

Recommended Posts

Hello: I will be going on a transatlantic cruise in April (Eastbound). Having had reasonable success with taking pictures of the stars, (no, not Taylor Swift: enough about her). all of my pictures have been from unmoving ground. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or tips on how to shoot stars from a moving ship. I will be using a GoPro 11 so there is a fair amount of flexibility to the settings. Should I play it safe and maybe just go for a simple timelapse type of photo or, if anyone has any tricks up their sleeves, I would welcome suggestions. Thanks for the advice!
