Vigo to Santiago de Compostelo

Recommended Posts

We are visiting Vigo on MSC Virtuosa in June.   Does anyone know if it’s possible to visit Santiago de Compostelo on the train. Also, how far from the port is the station. Thanks in advance.

From where you will dock, you can get a city bus that within 6-7 minutes takes you to Vigo Urzáiz train station and it takes then 1.30 hour to reach Santiago de Compostela by train.

Vigo has two stations. Go to Vigo-Urzaiz (high speed trains).

I would buy ticket in advance

Nowadays there's one leaving Vigo at 8:00 and another one at 9:20. these trains take only 55m to arrive Santiago (trains from Vigo Guixar takes 1h30)

Santiago isn't big at all. There's 1,2 km walking from the station to the Cathedral square
