Rare pierces Posted May 14 #1 Share Posted May 14 Since I was playing with photos to test out the new computer, I dug into some old scans and did a little restoration. The tools I used were Topaz Photo AI and the latest update of Photoshop. Everybody has a batch of prints that weren't processed properly and faded to reddish approximations of their original tones. Fortunately, modern photo software offers some hope for them. This was an old cluttered and faded print from a cruise my in-laws took in the early '90s. 10 Minutes later... Another one that was badly exposed to begin with. 5 minutes later... I went a bit farther back for this one. It is a photo taken of my mother-in-law in the early '50s. Desaturation in Lightroom and a trip to Topaz Photo AI gave me this. Photoshop neural filters produced the colorization, though it guessed her eyes were blue and I had to manually correct them. I love modern software! Now to deal with the God-awful stack of photos yet to be scanned... Dave
