Celebrity Flora Penthouse Suite

Recommended Posts

Has anyone stayed in the Penthouse Suite on Celebrity Flora?  There is such a difference in price between that and the balcony Sky Suite (would NEVER book an IV cabin!). “Is it worth it” is a silly question but do you get more with the penthouse suite outside of the amazing cabin?  Are you treated extra special on the cruise?  Money is not the issue.

I did in September 2023. We received complimentary spa services - 2 one hour massages each. We had a party in our suite with alcohol and canopies served at no cost. The head naturalist would meet with us and we had first choice of excursions meaning that we could always have a place on the most popular excursion if desired. We received in room alcohol - wine, beer, and hard liquor included in the price. Unlimited laundry. First/business class seating on the flights after arriving in Quito. First ones on the ship with the other PH guests - sort of like being personally escorted on an ocean cruise if staying in a top suite. We were treated extra special but in a subtle way - no one was aware that the naturalist met with us and gave us first choice on the excursions - we never waited in the line to sign up. We did the MP extension and stayed in upgraded rooms at the various hotels. Probably more small things that just happened to elevate the experience.

We chose floor 6 because of the 2 separate balconies but probably not much difference. It was a wonderful trip overall and the MP extension was amazing.

I would book the room again and also consider the Silversea Silver Orgin. It is the same ship as the Flora with a somewhat different interior layout and some spectacular rooms. Check out some reviews on the Silversea board to get a feel of passengers experiences. Silversea has many expedition cruises whereas Celebrity only does the Galapagos Islands for expedition cruising.

Also consider B2B as there is so much to see and do.
