Royal Caribbean Stingray city excursions

Hello everyone,

Royal Caribbean offers two Stingray City excursions:

  • Stingray City, Starfish Point Beach
  • Stingray City, Starfish Point Beach & Bites

Both cost the same price, and the descriptions are very similar. The excursion with "Bites" likely includes a light snack.

Has anyone been on the "Stingray City, Starfish Point Beach & Bites" excursion?

I'm trying to book one where the boat has some shade or cover and avoids the open catamaran-type boat.

Thanks

Stingray Sailings has a great catamaran with shade.   We've gone with them at least 7 times.   Their boat holds 30+/-, but they limit the group to 20 passengers.  I can't imagine going with a ship excursion.   Start with a bus full of people,  get shuttled to a double decker boat full of people, crowd around rays to try to get a picture.   No thanks.

The experience can be so different. We've talked to so many people who wished they would have gone with a private tour.   It's so relaxing.  Great snorkel gear.   Lots of rays- easy to take tons of pictures.
