Fabulous2B50 Posted May 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2006 Sorry if my question is redundant, but I am waiting for confirmation for the Secret tour on June 16, 2006. I understand that this tour lasts about 1 hr 15 minutes. Do I also need to purchase a ticket for the regular Doges Palace as well, and does it just include admission and we stroll around on a self guided tour or are all regular tickets to the Doges Palace guided tours? I am very confused on this!

I am very confused on this! The Secret Itineraries tour includes admission to the palace, and you are free to tour the palace on you own afterwards; no need to buy the regular admission ticket, which is just what you said - admission only and you stroll around on your own. I don't see any mention of audio guides on the web site, but I'm not sure about that.
BrenGina Posted May 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2006 This tour was definitely worth it! You pick up your ticket(s) at the main entrance and wait for your guide for your tour to begin. However, to get the most out of the palace, I would have then rented an audio guide and taken my time throughout the rest of the palace. There is so much to see! I'll do the audio part next time. If you enjoy history and culture, then you could easily spend an entire day here. Very, very memorable.
