Leaving NYC/Bayonne

Im curious to know if anyone sailed out of NY or Bayonne. My parents plan on taking one out, but not sure on which ship yet. Did you have a good/bad experience? Any info would be appreciated.

We sailed out of Bayonne on Celebrity Zenith last Sept. to Bermuda. Great cruise. Port was so easy to find. Parking was a breeze. Love that port.

BUT.

 

I don't own a car and getting there is a pain, and an expensive pain. I think if you are driving and parking (or being dropped off), it's not so bad.

Those of us with cars love it. It was much easier than Manhattan. I think its about the same as Brooklyn's Red Hook which seems well designed.

It may not be glamorous, but was very easy to find & park & then get to the ship. Our next cruise is out of NYC & I know it will be not as pleasant. Especially since there is a parade going on that day.
