Nassau beaches, please help...

DH and I will be in Nassau in July and we're interested in getting to some nice beaches... w/o having to pay $70/pp to use a resort beach through the cruise line (is this possible?). I would especially love to go to Cable beach, but any nice beach will do. Any recomendations? Tips? TIA for all your help :)

Just wanted to say that I looked through all the posts and found the info I needed, sorry for wasting post space :p Looks like Breezes is a good deal for us with food, drink and activies included, can't beat that! If anyone has anything they would still like to add, please feel free. BTW, this is a great board and ScubaGirl is a Godsend!
