Shaw Park Beach or Snorkle at cruise port?

Sailing on the Rhapsody with a group of 18. Still undecided on excursions, as we've already done the falls.

 

Anyone have any knowledge or experience with Shaw Park beach?

 

RCCL also has an excursion listed as "Ocho Rios Snorkling by Boat" for $32 that lists the site as being failry close to the dock. Anyone been, or know the area?

 

Any other recommendations for a safe beach near Ocho Rios, other than Margarativille?
