Elderly Travels

Recommended Posts

My dad and I are going on Princess to the Baltic on the July 18th cruise. He's 81 and has some trouble walking. He can walk ok... but has arthritis in his knees so while he can walk around the block or go to a museum and walk around, he wouldn't want to stand for long periods in line or take a walking tour of the city.

I'm looking into shore excursions that wouldn't be a 10 hour day and wouldn't involve a walking tour but it's hard to tell from the tour descriptions just how much walking there is.

I think I'm going to look into red october and some of the other tours for St. Peterburg and Talinn, but was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Also looking for similar people who already have a red october tour or something like that booked and need more people.

(I'm 41 and can walk forever... :))

Thanks.

Vicki
