cruiseangel2006 Posted July 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2006 I just booked a Med. cruise on the Splendour for 2007 that visits SPLIT, Croatia. I've heard of Dubrovnik being wonderful, but no feedback on Split specifically. We are going in May. What is there to do there? The shore excursions are not yet loaded on RCCL's website. Wallaroos Posted July 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2006 Having just returned from a vacation in Croatia last month, I think the best thing to do in Split would be to visit Diocletians palace. You may want to hire a private guide. Outside of the old town, Split is a working class city, full of communist era apartment buildings. Not that attractive. But the old town is a delight. Grab some gelato. That's the must have fashion accessory! I hope you get to Dubrovnik on your cruise. Simply fabulous!!
