inexpensive Anchorage hotel summer 2007

Again, while planning for my trip next summer, I came across a really good deal on a hotel. The Ramada on Muldoon Road has rates for $69/night plus taxes. If you are a AAA or AARP member the rate drops to $62.10/night plus taxes. This hotel is in the NE corner of Anchorage - ideal if you are going to or returning from Denali but about a 15 minute drive from downtown and on the exact opposite end of the city from the airport.

 

I stayed here in July 2006 for a night and it was decent - normal Ramada. When I stayed here in July 2006 I paid about twice this rate.

 

Breakfast was included, free wireless internet and free internet on a computer in the lobby. Self-serve washers/dryers available as well.

 

Just a quick check seemed to show many dates available for this rate. Note that this is NOT the Ramada downtown. Their rates are about $200/night.
