Tour ending time in St. Petersburg

I am working with DenRus on a 2 days private tour for next summer. The second day ends with us arriving back at the Jewel at 5pm. The ship sails at 6pm. I am a little nervous about this. Do any of you have experience with this?

We did Red October and had the same schedule. There was no problem. The guides are all in touch by cell phone so that if there is a traffic problem , they are aware of it and can plan accordingly.

If you want to get back to the ship a little earlier the Denrus guide will adjust the schedule accordingly.

We just got back and did a tour with Red October. Our schedule was like yours. It was no problem. The guides adjust accordingly.

Agree with the above posters. Did two day Value Excursion with Denrus last month and they keep a very close watch on the time. If doing a private tour, just ask to come back a little sooner if you are uncomfortable.

Thank you for your replies. I want to try to fit in as much as possible in the 2 days. Our tour ends with St. Isaac's Cathedral. My guess is that as the afternoon goes on the places we see will get closer to the ship so that the traffic won't be as much of an issue.

Trust me, you will see so many palaces and cathedrals in your two days that they will blend together!!! Also, if you get an opportunity to do the Cossack folkloric dance evening program that Denrus offers, that was a teriffic evening.

We did RO last summer with the Jewel as well. We were back with plenty of time to spare to do some shopping at the port and pick up last minute items.
