only one staying in Anchorage post cruise

Any ideas on the best way to enjoy the post cruise on my own. The group I'm sailing with will not be staying over and I still want to see more of alaska. I'm not sure if post cruise package, train, or car rental is the best way to do it. Love to hear any ideas. Sapphire Princess 8/25/07 :)
