Tri-Maran to the Falls

Our cruise ship offers a tri-maran to the falls with a beach break after the falls. They say that food can be purchased on the beach "local fare". Has anyone taken such an excursion - it sounds nice.... I was wondering if anyone can comment on the excursion or the food on the beach?

To be honest with you, didn't notice the food vendors on the beach last Sept.. maybe that's new or we jsut were too early. We went about 9:30 a.m. The trimaran looks nice but you can get a cab and do the falls for about a total of $20-25 a person (I think.. I didn't do the math for the cab.. there were 7-8 of us).

Just wondering if anyone has done this excursion too and what beach you go to? Sounds like a nice relaxing time.
