dforeigner Posted September 20, 2006 #26 Share Posted September 20, 2006 Guess we'll either drive in the day we have to embark or spend a night in Houston. Since we want to visit NASA Houston, I may consider spending the night post cruise. I appreciate everyone's feedback.

If you plan to visit NASA there are a lot of new or nearly-new motels in our area. Just look for addresses on Bay Area Blvd. or NASA Parkway/NASA Road #1 (there is a name change going on for that street) and you'll find everything from Motel 6 to the Nassay Bay Hilton on Clear Lake. We also have lots of great restaurants and the Kemah Boardwak on Galveston Bay is near-by. The drive to the port from this area is an easy 30-45 minutes. Just wondering if the owner would rent it out for a pre-cruise stay. Have you tried running the boat's registration number through the WEB? If it is commercially availble, you may get a hit through google. If it is privately owned then privacy issues would probably prevent you from getting the information. Just an idea. p2lockhart Posted October 13, 2006 #32 Share Posted October 13, 2006 We stayed at Harbor House weekend before last prior to our 10/1 cruise. I dropped off the other 3 and all the luggage and drove back to HH to park the car and then walked the .4 mile back to Rhapsody. No problem. No charge for the week, btw.
