blackjack contest

We are booked on pacific star out of auckland july 07 and have been keenly reading through the forum to get up to speed with how things work. We did a cruise out of singapore on superstar virgo last year and entered a blackjack or 21 contest in the casino which cost around $20 and you were given like $1000's of funny money to play with and the last ones standing got prizes. This was heaps of fun, and didn't cost a lot to become a high roller for a hour. Can anyone tell me if P&0 do this.

Hi Spailing! The Star does both the Blackjack and Roulette tournaments - cost were $10 - (blackjack you are given $1000 in chips and you play 5 hands - roulette you play for 3 spins ) the winner of each tournament won about $250 each - you can enter as many times as you like - high scores are put on the top ten board to play in the final if you get knocked of the top ten board you can pay another $10 and try to get back into the final - they usually started this about 7 - 7:30pm and played the finals about 11 - 11:30pm

Spailing, I won the Blackjack Tournament in September. I only had to try three times to qualify. I got in in the final qualifying round with $3000 of tournament chips. Each round is 7 hands. One of the 7 finalists didn't show up for the final, so it was just six people. The leading finalist went out, along with two others and it was just me and two others left. I just kept betting all my chips as the game drew to a close and eventually I won. Best feeling I've had in ages. :D I only started playing blackjack at the start of the cruise.

Kezza, you might find me there. DH and I played Blackjack on the singapore cruise earlier this year, for the first time, it was a bit of fun.

As he's not with me for this cruise, I might just go along and play for him, so that he can feel a part of this cruise too.
