Legend Of The Seas Info wanted please

Recommended Posts

I’m planning to sail The Legend Of The Seas for 15 day December 01 2007 Barcelona Spain to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic for 15 days.

Looking for reviews on the ship and itinerary? Also being on her for 15 day I will want to use the spa and gym. How’s the workout equipment and do they offer sauna and steam rooms? What’s the best port to visit?

Should I make my oun air arrangments or let RCCL make them?

Any information would be much appreciated. You can e-mail me at jc8297@verizon.net

I've sailed Legend in the Caribbean, and am sailing her again in the Med next summer, and she's a lovely ship. The crew is very friendly, and in general I find her to be more "accessible" than some of the larger ships (your mileage may vary). I'm afraid I'm not much of a gym rat, so I can't tell you anything about the gym, but I do know that my travel companions on my last Legend trip certainly enjoyed the spa. Surely someone will chime in about it.

As for the itinerary, it's new, so I doubt anyone has done exactly that trip. The cruise is dirt cheap, no doubt in part to the fact that it doesn't end up in a high-volume cruise port that's easy to fly out of, but it does look really interesting - I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

The gym on the Legend was a little small to me, and it seemed crowded

at any time I would try and go. They were doing classes in the same room

as the ellipticals/treadmills were. I ended up using the track outside a

lot.

I really liked the spa, very nice, very clean. I got a lower price on my treatment

because we were in port(Belize). The solarium/spa area was very peaceful

when we were on last December.

When in December? 15 friends and I sailed her on Dec 3 (Western).

We were on last December 10, for my 40th Birthday. You were getting off and

I was getting on! We had an Owner's Suite that was a surprise, and in a word it was fabulous:) Enough room for our CC group to have a little cocktail party.
