New Orleans new terminal parking question

Is there anyone (with a regular car) on here that tried to use the new cruise terminal parking in New Orleans and was told to use the Fulton St. garage because the terminal parking was full? Dh and I were hoping that we won't be made to park at the Fulton St. garage. We were just trying to anticipate and handle any potential small problems and have a plan ahead of time.
