Beachcombers Resort & Villas Ft. Lauderdale

We are staying at the Renaissance the day before cruising (Jan 22) and have booked a room for three nights after at the Beachcombers. Has anyone ever stayed there, and if so, how was it. We looked all over and could not find another oceanfront room that week. This is our first time in Ft. Lauderdale, so any suggestions are appreciated.

we have stayed at the beachcomber several times both before and after cruises and have enjoyed it everytime . the hotel is well kept ,the staff friendly, and the pool area and beach are very nice. the last time we were there was in sept 02 and had driven down from ct and were going to park at the cruise terminal for 10 days and mentioned it to sam the concierge/bellhop he made a call and got us a limo round trip from hotel to pier for less money than it would have cost us to park at the pier and let us leave our car at the hotel.i think you will enjoy your stay there and have a great cruise.
