Water temps in Jan

Just wondering if anyone has been to the island around January? How cold is the water?

Visibility averages 100 feet and the water temperature ranges from 82°-84° in the summer to 78° in the winter.

 

Maybe the people from "up north" will be happy with this, but since I am from south Florida, that is too cold for me to go in the water (I will be there in January, so I booked the dune buggy excursion).

Oh thanks for the info!!!! I am from SE GA that sounds cold to me as well but It is vacation I am there to have fun!!!! We booked snorkling!!!
