Dawn Laundry

About half way through the cruise, you'll be offered "fill-a-bag" for about $20. But the bag isn't very big.

There is, however, free self-service laundry on the Dawn. My recollection is that there are two laundry rooms with dispensers to purchase cleaning supplies (we took our own from home). You can ask your cabin steward for directions to the nearest laundry facility. They aren't large (3-4 washers in the one DH used), so you may want to do laundry at off-times. DH did three loads (for the four of us) about half-way through our 10-night cruise.

We cruises the Dawn 2 years ago. Yes they do have laundry rooms on deck ten possibly 9 as well, but if I recall correctly, they were not free.

Needed quarters. If I recall it was 1.00 wash, .50 to 1.00 dry.

If they changed it to no charge thats even better.

They also have an iron and iron board in the laundry room.

Very convenient. Could bring less clothes on a 10 day since you could do the wash. They do have laundry detergent in the vending machines.

Bring a roll of quarters to play it safe....

Have fun

We've cruised Princess in the past, and are going Norwegian this time around. Since we'll be out for 11 days, what are the laundry facilities on the Norwegian Dawn? Laundromat, service? Cost, ease, location?

Your thoughts please.

Thanks

Steve and Sue

Just off the Dawn. There was no laundry special offered this cruise but there are laundry rooms mid ship on decks 9 and 10 perhaps elsewhere. The machines are free but you need 4 quarters for your soap. Don't use more than half the little box per load because the machines don't fill with much water and they don't rinse well. The dryers take FOREVER esp socks and tee shirts. Go very early because it gets busy later in the day.

There is also a laundry on 11.
